Lord Jesus, as our region prepares for a dangerous storm we are reminded of both our own frailty, and your strength to shelter us through all things.  We turn to you to be our guide, shepherd, friend, and protector in the days to come.

We pray for those who have been displaced by the storm
May they be given shelter and compassion

We pray for those who work with emergency services
May they be given strength and endurance

We pray for our leaders
May they be given the wisdom needed to respond to this emergency

We pray for our neighborhoods
May we come together in the wake of the storm

We pray for your disciples, Lord
May we always be examples of faith, compassion, and hope

Lord, grant us your peace
That we might declare your praises

In your mercy
