Call to Worship—

Let us worship God.
“He is our refuge and our fortress,
our God, in whom we trust.”
Let us confess with our mouths, “Jesus is Lord,”
and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Let us call upon our true God, believing him in our hearts,
confessing him with our mouths, worshiping him in spirit and in truth.

—based on Psalm 91:2; Romans 10:9, 13

Hymn of Praise - #8 “Come, Thou Almighty King”

Verse 1

Come Thou Almighty King

Help us Thy name to sing

Help us to praise

Father all glorious

O'er all victorious

Come and reign over us

Ancient of Days

Verse 2

Come Thou Incarnate Word

Gird on Thy mighty sword

Our prayer attend

Come and Thy people bless

And give Thy Word success

Spirit of holiness

On us descend

Verse 3

Come Holy Comforter

Thy sacred witness bear

In this glad hour

Thou who almighty art

Now rule in ev'ry heart

And ne'er from us depart

Spirit of pow'r

Verse 4

To Thee great One in Three

Eternal praises be

Hence evermore

Thy sov'reign majesty

May we in glory see

And to eternity

Love and adore
