Hymn - #691 “Surely Goodness and Mercy”
Verse 1
A pilgrim was I and a-wand'ring
In the cold night of sin I did roam
When Jesus the kind Shepherd found me
And now I am on my way home
Chorus
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days all the days of my life
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days all the days of my life
Verse 2
He restoreth my soul when I'm weary
He giveth me strength day by day
He leads me beside the still waters
He guards me each step of the way
Verse 3
When I walk thro' the dark lonesome valley
My Savior will walk with me there
And safely His great hand will lead me
To the mansions He's gone to prepare
Bridge
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever
And I will feast at the table spread for me
Ending
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days all the days of my life
All the days all the days of my life

Meditation
Hymn of Invitation - #676 “O Jesus, I Have Promised”
Verse 1
O Jesus I have promised
To serve Thee to the end
Be Thou forever near me
My Master and my friend
I shall not fear the battle
If Thou art by my side
Nor wander from the pathway
If Thou wilt be my Guide
Verse 2
O let me feel Thee near me
The world is ever near
I see the sights that dazzle
The tempting sounds I hear
My foes are ever near me
Around me and within
But Jesus draw Thou nearer
And shield my soul from sin
Verse 3
O let me hear Thee speaking
In accents clear and still
Above the storms of passion
The murmurs of self will
O speak to reassure me
To hasten or control
O speak and make me listen
Thou guardian of my soul
Verse 4
O Jesus Thou hast promised
To all who follow Thee
That where Thou art in glory
There shall Thy servant be
And Jesus I have promised
To serve Thee to the end
O give me grace to follow
My Master and my friend
