Keep it Steamy, Donate to Central's Boiler Replacement
Out with the old…
Throughout last Winter it became more and more apparent that Central’s boiler was on its last legs. While Jim Childs and others have done incredible work keeping it operational well passed the boiler’s warranty, it is time to replace it.
Further compounding the problem is a leak underneath the concrete floor between the boiler room and the social hall. This will also need to be repaired.
Todd and Jim have worked hard to get us a good deal on the install and the boiler (which we are getting at cost), but the estimate for this work is significant.
It is just under $26,000.

By using funds from our investment account, and some more through our checking account, Central can raise $15,000 for the project. The outstanding amount will be handled in the form of a loan. We would like to mitigate the loan amount as much as possible, and are asking both our members and our community partners to consider a special offering toward this project.
We want to thank our Brothers and Sisters of CBC Ide for pledging $4000, and to Renee Cappetta for pledging to hold a benefit concert, to support this project. This gets us started out on the right foot!
